A small offering, and a reminder

A recent poem I wrote was published pretty much on the same day my luggage was lost on my way to my annual yoga retreat. The irony is that the poem is about knowing when to carry very little. So while I was feeling discombobulated by the lack of my toothbrush and pjs, the poem kept running through my mind — How do I develop the wisdom to carry less? This is something I ponder a lot as I grow older.

I hope you enjoy the poem! Find it here: Birds know what to carry
